Professor of Digital Strategy, Innovation & Business Processes in Deusto Business School and Visiting Professor in Manchester Business School.
He was previously professor at IE Business School.
He received his PhD from Warwick Business School (UK), his MBA from IESA Business School (Venezuela), and BSc in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Carabobo (Venezuela). Also, he has attended the Colloquium on Participant-centered Learning, Harvard Business School, Boston (USA), and the Research Program at University of Texas (USA).
Professor Lorenzo’s extensive experience in his field has led organizations in different sectors (e.g. automobile, banking, government, and energy) to contract his consulting services. Among other clients, he has worked for: Ministry of Development (Turkey), SAP International, Inc. (Florida, USA), IFS Software (Spain), ASISA Insurance (Spain), Banesco Bank (Panamá, Venezuela), IE Business School (Spain), Veolia-Dalkia (Spanish Subsidiary), Duncan Batteries (Venezuela).
In addition, Professor Lorenzo has been visiting or guest professor at Penn State University (Berks Campus, USA), Manchester Business School (UK), Letterkenny Institute of Technology (Ireland), IAE Business School (Argentina), IESA Business School (Venezuela), INCAE (Costa Rica) and Bordeaux School of Management (France). Part of his experience comes from his work on publications for specialized journals like California Management Review, Information and Management, Journal of Accounting and Organizational Change, Journal of Business Ethics, Supply Chain Management Review, etc.
Moreover, Professor Lorenzo has presented numerous research works at international conferences such as The Academy of Management Meeting, American Conference in Information Systems (AMCIS), European Conference in Information Systems (ECIS), European Conference in Operations Management (EUROMA), Production and Operations Management Society (POMS), among others. He is a member of the Academy of Management (one of the most prestigious community of scholars).
Professor Lorenzo has recently published the book: The Long Conversation: Maximizing Business Value from Information Technologies Investments (Palgrave MacMillan).
